From Paris to Amsterdam
It was Agriton founder Frits van den Ham who discovered EM® at the fourth edition of the international conference ‘Kyusei Nature Farming’, a prominent international soil conference, which took place in Paris in 1995. EM®, effective micro-organisms, is a technology developed by Professor Teruo Higa at the University of Okinawa in Japan. The current director of Agriton, Albert de Puijsselaar, came into contact with Frits van den Ham in 1994 and also became enthusiastic about EM technology. Together they brought the product to the Netherlands one year later, in 1995. From Paris to Amsterdam. That is the success story of EM Agriton BV – Agriton Group The Netherlands in a nutshell. The start of a flourishing, now international, company was born.
The fourth international congress ‘Kyusei Nature Farming’ was held in Paris in June 1995.
This year Agriton Group The Netherlands is devoting the necessary attention to this anniversary. Friday 19 June is the official kick-off of the festivities, as that is the date that marks the start of the company’s success. In the course of the next six months, approx. ’25 Years of EM® in Europe’ cakes will be distributed among our dealers, customers and ambassadors. A festive Tour de Taart!
