Adjuvants
Over 95% of an applied spray is water. Making sure that you use the correct adjuvant to give that water the best chemical and physical properties should be a priority. By ensuring the water is in the best possible condition, we can improve the efficacy of any plant protection product (PPP) used.
At Agro-Vital we are always looking at ways to improve efficiencies and reduce inputs, focusing on the quality of water used when applying PPPs is an easy win. Most PPPs, for example, prefer a pH of 5. If we can acidify the water when using PPPs, they will work far more effectively. This means we are able to reduce the amount of PPPs needed to achieve the same effects.
Adjuvants can also improve the efficacy of PPPs by improving the coverage of the product over the leaf or the penetration of the product through the leafs waxy cuticle. When using such expensive and harsh chemicals, anything we can do to increase efficacy and reduce re-spraying or even the amount needed the better.
Not only does this benefit profitability but also the environment. A lot is not yet known about the persistence or half lives of these products and the potential damage they can cause to soil biology or associated eco systems. Improved efficiencies and efficacy means reduced applications needed to achieve the desired result. This is the ethos of Agro-Vital.

Solutions
-
SupHuse
Buffers high calcium and magnesium water as well as regulates pH for optimal PPP efficacy. Has a colour indicator to ensure accurate dosage.
-
Pod Protect
Preventing OSR seed loss from until harvest through to combining by coating the pod with a fine natural latex layer.
-
Solix
Wetter and sticking agent. Reduces surface tension of water to improve coverage while also creating a ‘microfilm’ which holds PPP in close contact with the plant.
