technical Ruminant specialist (Agriton UK)

Agriton have been actively promoting ‘regenerative’ farming methods since the company was first established almost three decades ago. Agriton has grown over that time and now operates in several European countries with the UK company set up 20 years ago. Although still a relatively small company in the UK, by joining Agriton you will be part of a larger, Europe-wide, family providing climate-friendly solutions to farmers. 

Agriton manufacture, source and supply a range of sustainable solutions to farmers and growers. We are looking to appoint a new Ruminant Specialist to educate, promote and sell our range of products across the UK and Ireland. You will need to have a real passion for livestock as well as a strong desire to do the right thing when it comes to the environment. Above all else, you will be expected to provide advice, support and guidance in helping livestock farmers achieve a sustainable future, both profitably and environmentally. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, developing and establishing account relationships, identifying potential new business opportunities, participating in sales strategy development and implementation as well as providing technical support to customers. Although a commercial role, your primary objective will be to promote sustainable farming practices. 

 The role will require you to travel across the UK and Ireland regularly with at least two days a month in the office (SW Based). The remainder of the time you will be expected to work remotely.

Ideally, you would have sales and or account management experience, a degree in Animal Nutrition or Agriculture is preferred and you can demonstrate a good knowledge of ruminant animal nutrition and the animal nutrition industry in general.

Main Responsibilities Include:

• Promote regenerative/sustainable solutions to livestock farmers.

• Maintain and develop existing account relationships.

• Identify and establish potential new business opportunities.

• Help develop and implement sales strategies.

• Provide ongoing technical support for our customers and theirs.

• Be passionate about climate-friendly solutions
